Aladdin is a character from the Chinese fairy-tale Aladdin and his Wonderful Lamp and its 1992 Disney film adaptation.


Appearances and allusions[]


In one of the cases in this bar is a book titled, "Aladdin & Co." by John Herbert Quick, also known as, "A Romance of Yankee Magic". Next to the book is a lamp resembling Aladdin's lamp from the film.

Adventureland Bazaar[]

In this shopping area is "Aladdin's Other Lamp" which is a coin-operated lamp which offers out advice to guests. In Disneyland Paris it is decorated with murals of different characters from the Arabian Nights stories such as those of Aladdin.

Enchanted Tiki Room (Under New Management)[]

During the short-lived Enchanted Tiki Room (Under New Management) attraction, the show would be hosted by Iago from Aladdin in addition to Zazu from the Lion King. Aladdin was also mentioned by name in the show by Iago during Iago's song-number.[1]

It's a Small World[]

Aladdin and Jasmine make a cameo in the Disneyland version of this attraction, riding on a magic carpet.

Magic Carpets of Aladdin[]

Aladdin provides the safety-spiel of this attraction. In the backstory for this attraction, the Genie summoned the 16 magic carpets for entertainment purposes for Aladdin and Jasmine.

Main Street, U.S.A.[]

In the City Hall of Main Street is a book titled, "Aladdin" written by Abu the monkey.[2]


Aladdin is a common character found for meet 'n' greets in Adventureland.


Aladdin and Jasmine appear in this attraction where they ride on the Magic Carpet while singing, "A whole new world".
