Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril (French: Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril) is a rollercoaster attraction in Disneyland Paris' Adventureland.
This attraction takes guests aboard mine-trains running through an ancient temple in Asia being excavated by Indiana Jones.
Guests enter a base-camp being used for temple excavation by Indiana Jones before boarding a mine-train used for excavations. While aboard the trains they go out of control and take guests on a wild ride through the temple ruins.
The Temple of Peril was inspired by the mine-cart chase from the 1984 film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (which itself took influence and audio from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad). The final attraction is the result of budget cuts as originally it was planned to be subject to an Indiana Jones themed area within Adventureland. It was planned for the rollercoaster to have been more themed and potentially featured a chase. The attraction was planned to be a rollercoaster rather than and EMV (enhanced motion vehicle) attraction like Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye due to a reimagined Jungle Cruise attraction having been planned to have used that same format.
The attraction is themed to Indiana Jones who is a prominent character within the S.E.A. mythos.
Many allusions to Indiana Jones' operations in the Temple of Peril can be found within this nearby restaurant. The Explorers Club logo, the former name for the Outpost can be seen on crates around the archeological site.
