Rafiki is a character from the film The Lion King.
History[]
Rafiki was a wise mandrill in the Pride Lands of Africa who lived in an ancient baobab tree. He came to the Pride Lands a wanderer after having been attacked by three young hyenas but saved by the king of the Pride Lands, Ahadi. Under Ahadi, Rafiki served as a shaman and often assisted the lions of Pride Rock in their ceremonies such as the presentation of their off-spring.

Rafiki is the namesake for this conservation area in Disney's Animal Kingdom. He appears in a show within it where he aids endangered animals. The baboon's likeness is also throughout the area such as in a statue.
