Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
Up holds connections to the Camp Discovery of Adventure Isle in Shanghai Disneyland. Here, a story about the League of Adventurers' expedition to Antarctica describes the use of their airship the New Horizons to deploy the sled dogs to Wilkes Station notes that much of Cooter Carter's "Aerial K-9 Deployment" techniques are borrowed from those of explorer Charles Muntz despite his boasting.
In this resort are the, "Kevin Gardens" which use Kevin as their namesake and icon.
Disney's Animal Kingdom
In Disney's Animal Kingdom, the Wilderness Explorers are the theming behind an interactive game of the same name. Here, the Wilderness Explorers are shown to have outposts and active operations in the Asian kingdom of Anandapur, East-African port of Harambe, Diggs County in Florida, the mythical Discovery Island along with its neighbouring Safari Village, and the Valley of Mo'ara on the alien moon of Pandora during the late 21st century.
The Valley of Mo'ara is the setting for Pandora: The World of Avatar which is themed to the 2009 James Cameron film Avatar. Along with being set on the moon of Pandora, the guidebooks depict several missions which involve having to study Pandora's wildlife and learn about the history of the valley.
Dinosaur (Countdown to Extinction)
Diggs County is the setting for this attraction and its respective attraction of DinoLand, U.S.A.. Several of the missions pertain to the Dino Institute which is the organization responsible for the attraction. Of note there is the Dinosaur Badge has guests assisting in excavation within Diggs County's, "Boneyard".
In addition to missions, badges and journals referencing the Yeti, the Wilderness Explorers are also shown to have a connection to the setting of Anandapur which a plaque commemorates them having visited in 1912 outside of Maharajah Jungle Trek.
The Wilderness Explorers had outposts in Harambe and the Harambe Wildlife Reserve, both the settings for Kilimanjaro Safaris. Some of the missions in the Wilderness Explorers guidebook are also connected to the group of Kilimanjaro Safaris and its conservation efforts. Notably is the Safari Badge which has guests taking a safari from Kilimanjaro Safaris and writing the name of the jeep SIMBA-1. It also mentions Harambe Wildlife Reserve by name and has participants document the animals which they observed.
A bottle labelled, "Paradise Falls" is on a counter in Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar. In the film, this was used by Carl and Ellie to try and get the money to move to the falls. Paradise Falls itself being a water-feature in the jungles of South America.
