The Wilderness Expeditions and Delivery Service is an organization affiliated with Big Thunder Mountain Railroad which is featured in the Big Thunder Trail

History[]

Background[]

During the 19th century, the Wilderness Expeditions and Delivery service was a transportation and delivery organization. They operated in the Big Thunder region, namely Rainbow Ridge and predominately utilized stagecoaches.

Development History[]

The organization is an homage to the Disneyland Stage lines/Rainbow Mountain Stagecoaches which operated as an attraction in Frontierland from 1955 to 1960 and passes through show-scenes used by Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland such as the Living Desert. The stagecoach seen on Big Thunder Trail is made to resemble these coaches and the name of the company is an allusion to WED (Walther Elias Disney) enterprises which created Disneyland. The stagecoach was purchased from Knotts Berry Farm before the first Ghost Town Alive in 2015.

Connections[]

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad[]

The stage-coach on Big Thunder Trail is found outside the setting of Rainbow Ridge and also has cargo being sent to Jason Chandler, a character affiliated with the Big Thunder Mining Company.

Discovery Bay[]

The stage-coach is found at the border of Frontierland and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge which occupies the space proposed by Tony Baxter to hold Discovery Bay. The cargo addressed to Jason Chandler is an allusion to how Chandler would have been the founder of the Bay.
