Willie Scott is a character from the film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984).
Willie Scott was a dim-witted singer who was the girlfriend of Chinese crime-lord Lao Che. Willie performed in Lao's Shanghai nightclub Club Obi Wan until 1935 when she was kidnapped by archaeologist Indiana Jones after a deal gone sour with Che. The two found themselves aboard a plane that left them in India where they came upon the Thuggee Cult of mad priest Mola Ram.
During their stay in Ram's temple, Willie and Indiana became having romantic and sexual relations with one another. Ultimately, Jones, Willie and Jones' assistant Short Round were able to escape the temple and kill Mola Ram by dropping him off a bridge into a ravine of crocodiles. The two would not stay together particularly long though Indy did keep a flyer of her performances at Club Obi Wan as a memento of their history.
Appearances and allusions
Mola Ram's dolls of Indiana, Willie and Short-Round appear on a shelf in this bar, in the possession of Jock Lindsey, Indiana Jones' aviator and a member of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers. Additionally, the drink, "Anything Goes" is modelled after Willie's dress from the beginning of the film and named for the song, "Anything Goes" which she sings in Club Obi-Wan. Jock's description for the drink also identifies him as having once met Willie.
